Climbing the Family Tree...

Back in the late 1980's and early 1990's I dabbled a little in genealogy. This was before we all had our own personal computers and my research was done the old fashion way...visiting libraries, writing letters, traipsing through cemeteries, etc. Then I got involved in other things and put the genealogy on hold.

I recently bought Family Tree Maker 2011 and started entering all my documented information. With the program I received 6 months of Ancestry.com. I haven't activated it yet as I wanted to wait until I was sure I'd have the necessary time to start digging.

Meanwhile, I've set up this blog in hopes that I'll be able to share some of my family stories in the near future.

The surnames I'll be working on are DURGIN, PAPE, SIMS, VOLZ, MORRIS and many more.
